Article Writing: Turbo-Charge Your Articles for Instant Profits

Article writers are in high demand. If you become proficient, you’ll find all the writing jobs you can handle. However, there’s a big difference between generic Web content, and turbo-charged articles which bring in real money.

Here’s how to turbo-charge your article writing, so you get a flood of cash into your PayPal account.

1. Write as you speak. Ever notice that some articles just sound odd? The writer churned out the content and didn’t bother to read it over. (Likely because he or she had one of those “write 100 articles for $1 each” gigs.) Take a minute to read each article out loud carefully. Does it sound stilted? Would you talk that way? If not, change it until it sounds right.

2. Research your topic. We’re not talking about spending hours in some musty library, but you should at least spend a few minutes digging up something new about your keyword or subject. For instance, if you write about weight loss, think about ways you can bring a new angle to this topic. You might consider writing about weight loss and sleep or how weight loss can or cannot change other aspects of someone’s life. Don’t just parrot what countless others have said.

3. Use keywords effectively, and forget about “density”. Some beginning writers and Internet marketers overstuff their articles with keywords. Search engines have methods of detecting this and penalize those who overuse keywords.

4. Proofread, proofread, and proofread. Always read your work before you submit them. If possible do this a day or two after you write them: you’ll catch more errors if you come at them with a fresh eye. If possible have someone else read them too. We writers are often blinded by our words: We know what we meant to say and we assume that we said it. Another person will be able to catch those little mistakes that can sink even the best work. Sure, you should also use a spell checker but don’t rely solely on it to check your work.

5. Write what you know (or spend time on research). If you write mainly on skin care and other health-and-beauty topics, it may be quite a stretch to write about environmental engineering (and vice versa).

Don’t accept a gig writing articles about topics about which you know little unless you know you have enough time and resources to learn what you need to know. If you’re fortunate, your client will be the type that welcomes questions. If so, ask them. It will help to build a relationship. However, such clients are rare. Don’t be afraid to turn down such a gig, a better one will turn up.

Take the time to turbo-charge your articles — it’s time well spent. You’ll soon get a reputation as a quality writer, and you’ll be booked solid.

Article Writing: Success or Failure?

Do you want to be successful at article writing? You can make a lot of money writing simple web articles, if you have a process to follow. This process includes the use of keywords; however, you must ensure that you’re using them in the right way.

1. Use the Right Keywords at the Right Time

With billions of webpages online, you articles will sink without a trace unless you use the right keywords.

However, you shouldn’t depend on keyword tools. Remember that these tools are all historical, they may tell you what search queries were used last week, last month, or last year, but they can’t tell you what people will search for today or at any time in the future.

Therefore, rather than relying on keyword tools, pay attention to what your articles’ audience is looking for.

Read blogs and forums related to the topics on which you’re writing articles. On blogs, read the comments on posts. It’s also useful to read newspaper sites. Any news which is related to one of your topics is valuable to you.

When you pay attention to your audience, you’ll be using the keywords that they are using today, and your articles will be found.

2. Your Brain Is the Best Keyword Tool

If you’re writing articles for others, you usually won’t have the choice of which keywords to use because the keywords will be provided for you. However if you’re writing articles for yourself, for your own sites and blogs, then realize that your brain is the best keyword tool.

Research your topic.

Read sites and blogs related to that topic. Join forums. You need to know your market, and once you’re happy that you understand exactly what the needs of these people are, you will be able to write articles which they will want to read.

Therefore, brainstorm keywords from your own research before you start using any online keyword tool.

Article writing is becoming very competitive. Your success or failure depends on you.

Writing Articles: 3 Tactics to Make Money Faster

You can turn writing articles into a great home business. However, unless you think about what you’re doing, you could spend your time writing for sites which pay poorly. To make more money, you need to improve your strategy.

Here are three ways you can do that.

1. Improve Your Topic Selection

Every article you write is written for a purpose. People buy articles to add more content to a website, or perhaps to sell specific products. When you’re writing for others, your topics will usually be chosen for you.

One way to sell more articles however, is to write articles on money-making topics that you choose yourself. If you choose your topics well, and can show that they will be profitable, you’ll line up more clients than you can handle.

2. Focus on Your Client Selection

Although some writers make great money on the outsourcing sites, many don’t.

I call this the “rush to the bottom syndrome”. Writers on the outsourcing sites tend to believe that the lowest bidder wins. They never stop to consider that if this is so, that you’ve really won nothing at all, except a lot of hard work and minimal pay.

If you want to make money faster, decide that you will never work for clients who won’t pay your base rate.

Set your base rate at a reasonable level and never bid below that. You may be surprised that at all it takes is a decision on your part, and you’ll get the money you want. Buyers who want articles at the lowest possible price aren’t worth your time and energy. (Unless you’re a beginner, at which time you should write for anybody who will hire you, until you get experienced.)

3. Match Topics and Clients

When you know how article writing works, and your articles make money, it’s time to start matching article topics and clients.

For example, perhaps you’ve decided to write a batch of articles on the Apple iPhone. You know that this is a hot selling product, and there’s lots of demand for information. Once you’ve written your articles, offer them to a blog or a website which is focused on technology, or on products made by Apple. If your articles are good, they’ll sell; you may even land an on-going job writing for the site.

Take your content-writing to the next level — create info products.

Your Article Writing Game Plan Which Makes Money in Three Steps

makemoneyab1.jpg

Are you making money writing articles? If you are, you know that the amount of money you can make depends on how quickly you can write.

When following the three steps of your game plan, remember two points: speed and quality. You may find it easier to write more text for each article, and then revise, cutting sharply to enhance the quality of your articles.

1. Research Once, Write in Batches

Sometimes you need to research, sometimes you don’t.

If you’re writing a series of ten articles on the topic of weight loss surgery and the topic is unfamiliar to you, spend some time researching the topic.

Make notes. The more you know, the more quickly you can write your articles.

Any research you do is never wasted. Once you’ve researched a topic, you will be able to write many more articles painlessly.

Of course if you know the topic, you don’t need to do much research. You may want to research a couple of points but the writing will be faster and easier.

Always write in batches.

It takes you at least 20 minutes to get into the flow of writing and then it’s just as easy to write three or four as it is to write one.

2. Plan, Draft, and then Write

Always plan. I like to create titles for a batch of articles, and then write the points I want to cover under each title.

Then I quickly write drafts and leave the drafts for at least 24 hours. When I come back to the articles, I can easily add more content, polish them, and have them ready to go.

3. Use a Timer: You’ll Write Faster

I often use a timer when I’m writing articles. When you write against a time limit, you’ll find that you automatically get into the right frame of mind.

Big tip: writing fast is a mindset in which you can complete three articles in the time it takes you to drag two titles out of yourself when you’re not in the right mindset.

So the timer for ten minutes. In 10 minutes, you can complete a draft of a 300-word article.
